qumontae

Born in a small town in Virginia, Qumontae entered the world through instability. His mother struggled with addiction, his father was incarcerated, and before his first birthday he was placed outside his immediate family. At eight years old, his grandmother fought to bring him back into his bloodline, determined to rebuild what had been fractured.
Structure came heavy, and rebellion followed. By seventeen, Qumontae was on his own, forced into adulthood early. He moved quietly between friends’ houses before spending months sleeping in his car. Those nights shaped his independence, focus, and resolve.
Back home, Qumontae was already known for his presence. That magnetism led him into a local studio run by Lil Mike, where he immersed himself in every aspect of the craft, from engineering and recording to visuals and film. Studio X became both refuge and training ground, eventually trusting him with management. Music stopped being a curiosity and became a calling.
A chance meeting with rap icon Bleu Davinci at a Beach Weekend event changed everything. Sensing potential, Bleu brought Qumontae to Miami, opening doors to a larger industry landscape. There, he earned respect through work ethic and consistency, finding himself around artists shaping modern hip-hop.
Musically, Qumontae blends grit with ambition, drawing inspiration from the emotional cadence and confidence of artists like Future. His sound lives between rockstar energy and rap truth, rooted in lived experience rather than imitation.
In 2018, he signed with super-producer Drumma Boy Fresh’s label, Drum Squad, marking a pivotal step forward. Qumontae’s story is not about spectacle. It’s about survival, evolution, and momentum. His music carries that weight, confident, hungry, and undeniable.
